ZINTA HARRIS

Zinta Harris is the owner of Resolve Estate Law, a Brisbane-based Accredited Succession Law & Business Law Specialist, Collaborative Lawyer, and Mediator.

Zinta Harris is the owner of a boutique specialist estates law firm, Resolve Estate Law. Zinta is passionate about brokering peaceful resolutions to family disputes over inheritance so that “family wars” are avoided.

After over 25 years practising as a wills and estates lawyer, Zinta has seen firsthand the impact of estate battles on hundreds of families. She now specialises in helping grieving families stay out of Court and work together to reach an early resolution to their estate dispute.

Zinta Harris is the author of the book “Rest in Peace – how to manage an estate dispute without inheriting heartache”. The book was awarded the Australian Book Awards’ ‘Best General Business Book’ 2019. She also writes the popular blog “Catching the Curveball” which provides regular commentary on issues relating to grief, loss, estates law, family, parenting, love and life.

Zinta’s aim is to create a new path for grieving families by keeping them out of Court and minimising the emotional and financial toll of an estates battle so that they have the freedom to grieve and get on with living life without conflict. Zinta was named the 2019 WLAQ Trailblazer of the Year and Lawyers Weekly 2019 Sole Practitioner of the Year for her work in this area.

What past attendees thought…

While the Advanced Course is brand new, here’s what our Introductory Course past attendees said.

“I was concerned that it [the training] would be a bit 'happy-clappy' and not actually usable in a litigation context...

[to those hesitating over signing up] - don't be put off but all the reasons in your head why it won't work, come along with an open mind."

— Peter Nevin – lawyer

“[to colleagues thinking about doing the training] come and join the new cool group of wills and estates collaborative lawyers who don't send nasty letters and have happier clients."

— Beverley Sorrell – lawyer

“This course is a great way to be introduced to a whole new way of thinking about resolving estate disputes. It challenges your thinking about available ways to resolve conflicts.”

— Josh Fox – lawyer

“I learned a lot about how we set up our clients' mindsets for litigation from the outset, and even changing that could change the course of a matter.

I am excited and keen to spread the word!"

— Jacqui Brauman – lawyer

“CP is amazing and transformative. Zinta, your passion and energy is truly amazing!

I look forward to being a communications coach"

— Yvette Strawbridge – Mediator & Counsellor

“This course will better your skills and for a financial neutral to understand how often professional services operate and how you can work together.

I found working with Zinta and Anne-Marie very rewarding — their approach is non-judgmental which is important to ensure that attendees feel comfortable asking questions and participating in role plays.”

— Jessie Hinds – financial adviser

“I am excited about everything and have particularly appreciated the tools and the food for thought gained in the training.”

I am very conscious of the tools learned and the explanation about human reactions and neuroscience it has been extraordinarily helpful and worthwhile. I thought it [the training] was great, I very much enjoyed the interactive nature of it and the way it was presented, the role plays were challenging at first but ended up being quite fun - you were both great presenters and teachers and very informative - you've put a huge amount of work into creating an interesting, educational and very valuable body of knowledge and presented it in a way that was very considerate of attendees - you had our undivided attention on the day."

— Succession Lawyer

“Fantastic experience – I loved how you both worked together to bring training on the collaborative model based on experience (Anne-Marie) and a continual tie in to the estates context (Zinta). You were also flexible to explore the grey areas and go with the flow of the attendees with our (constant) questions!”

— Kylie Costigan – estate planning and estate administration lawyer

“The outcomes of this course provides the basis and training to involved professionals enabling them to successfully manage the foundation and guidance to support and achieve agreeable conclusions in succession planning, wills and estates conversations and disputes.”

— Julie Gray – financial planner

“This course will increase your knowledge and your contacts.”

— Stuart Warren – financial planner
