This workshop will build on your Collaborative Practice Foundations and improve your skills to manage multi-party matters and give you a deeper understanding of how to manage family conflict over inheritance.
This program is open to anyone who has already completed the Skills Expansion or Introductory Training in Wills and Estates and is looking to build on those skills to gain a deeper understanding of the complexities unique to wills and estates.

Advanced Course Program Outline
The understandings and insights gained from the Skills Expansion or Introductory Wills & Estates training will be assumed in the Advanced Course. You should have a detailed knowledge of how the Model works in practice in the pre-death and post-death Wills & Estates contexts before undertaking this Advanced Training.
After undertaking this training you will know how to:
- discern which multi-party team model to use
- successfully manage larger professional teams
- assess legal capacity and testamentary capacity and what to do if capacity is called into question
- navigate complex family dynamics
- deal with high intensity emotion / grief / terminal illness / power imbalance
- launch your Collaborative Practice and find those Collaboratice matters!

ZINTA HARRIS
Zinta Harris is the owner of Resolve Estate Law, a Brisbane-based Accredited Succession Law & Business Law Specialist, Collaborative Lawyer, and Mediator, Owner, Resolve Estate Law (formerly Harris Law).
Zinta Harris is the owner of a boutique specialist estates law firm, Resolve Estate Law. Zinta is passionate about brokering peaceful resolutions to family disputes over inheritance so that “family wars” are avoided.
After over 20 years practising as a wills and estates lawyer, Zinta has seen firsthand the impact of estate battles on hundreds of families. She now specialises in helping grieving families stay out of Court and work together to reach an early resolution to their estate dispute.
Zinta Harris is the author of the book “Rest in Peace – how to manage an estate dispute without inheriting heartache”. The book was awarded the Australian Book Awards’ ‘Best General Business Book’ 2019. She also writes the popular blog “Catching the Curveball” which provides regular commentary on issues relating to grief, loss, estates law, family, parenting, love and life.
Zinta’s aim is to create a new path for grieving families by keeping them out of Court and minimising the emotional and financial toll of an estates battle so that they have the freedom to grieve peacefully and get on with living life without conflict. Zinta was named the 2019 WLAQ Trailblazer of the Year and Lawyers Weekly 2019 Sole Practitioner of the Year for her work in this area.
